Les Lieux de Mémoire and New Orleans

The recent urban trauma in New Orleans has given rise to a series of questions on how to rebuild the city. Absent from the discussion has been an analysis of the collective memory of New Orleans and the mnemonic tropes that might be used in its reconstruction.
